Marina d’Arechi SpA, Salerno Port Village.
Marina d’Arechi is a modern and recent marina of the famous Amalfi Coast, located in Salerno, only 3 nautical miles from the picturesque town centre, and can welcome boats from 6 to 123 m LOA.
Marina d’Arechi is the newest marina in the region of the famous Amalfi Coast, located in Salerno, only 3 nautical miles from the picturesque town centre.
The construction of this state-of-the-art harbour is due for completion in summer 2016. The development has required significant work and investment, considering it is a large land reclamation project (it is effectively an artificial island along the coastline). The marina’s curved outerwall alone is 1.2 kilometres long and has been built in 8 metre deep waters. Marina d’Arechi is already an operational marina, as more than half of its berths and quays have been delivered and are already used by boats from 6 to 21 metres in length overall. At the moment we are writing this page, the works for the delivery of the remaining quays and moorings in the northern section of the harbour are in their final stages. Once they are completed, the marina will be able to welcome yachts up to 123 metres in length overall. It will then have the capacity to have 1,000 boats and yachts moored in its vast 340,000 square metre basin, including 90 berths for superyachts (yachts > 30 metres / 98 feet).
As modern yacht harbour, Marina d’Arechi offers an extensive variety of services and facilities. Amongst those (detailed further in this page) is the Concierge Service, comparable to what you would find in a hotel, with a team dedicated to make the marina users stay as enjoyable as possible, by assisting them with general enquiries, restaurant bookings, airport transfers, etc. as well as assisting with technical and logistical issues whether it be for a day-boat or a megayacht. Ultimately, berthing is only one part of the experience that Marina d’Arechi is proud to provide to its customers.
As well as being a homeport, operational all year around, Marina d’Arechi is an ideal port of call for exploring and enjoying the variety of sites and attractions in its proximity. By sea, the marina is a stone-throw away from the local hotspots of Vietri, Cetara, Maiori, Minori, Amalfi, Furore, Praiano, Positano and the “Li Galli” island. The islands of the Gulf of Naples are also within easy reach, with the closest, the island of Capri only 23 nautical miles away, and Ischia and Procida within 40 nautical miles cruising distance. Inland, the region has a wealth of cultural and historical sites, including no less than 50 UNESCO World Heritage sites, such as the Cliento and Vallo di Diano National Park, Paestum, Velia, and CertosadiPadula to the South, and of course, Pompei and Mount Vesuvius to the North.
This brand new marina currently offers opportunities to invest in berths, at competitive prices, with some of the longest leases to be found in the Mediterranean, for periods of nearly 80 years. Boat and yacht owners, or investors, can secure exclusive berthing rights, which then entitle them to the rental income generated by these moorings. They can also resell the leases on the berths which are expected to soar in value in a few years, as the number of marina users and the demand for mooring in the region increase.
